as i mentioned in my daily outfit post, easter 2014 was another memorable affair. following sunrise service overlooking the great pacific on ponto beach, the three amigos (me, mom & toppie) ventured off to torrey pines state park for a little endorphin rush and to take in the picturesque seaside views. despite the occasional lament from one of the members of our clan (his/her identity may or may not be revealed below), it was the perfect way to not only commemorate Jesus’ resurrection, but to take advantage of the glorious springtime san diego weather (cue hastag #blessed). after retiring back to my personal homestead for a catnap and shower, i returned to my childhood abode where i discovered the easter bunny himself had not only left an egg hunt in the backyard garden, but also a very “shawna-appropriate” easter basket filled with the likes of studio barre socks, shave gel, trader joe’s gift cards, and stevia. well played EB, well played. we capped off the evening with a delicious dinner at bistro west and ventured by the carlsbad flower fields on our way home so momma could document their stunning hues against the backdrop of the horizon line.
