since i play dress up five days a week for work, i tend to gravitate toward a casual, laid-back approach on the weekend (see also: workout clothes). but there are rare and special occasions when i actually pull myself together, apply makeup and, shocker, wash and style my hair. and for those times, i try to take something day-worthy and transform it into date-worthy instead – guaranteeing i feel both chic and comfortable on a night out on the town with my boo. so to create the perfect summertime evening look, i once again reached for my madewell denim popover dress, this time pairing it with my high-heeled sandals, a statement necklace, and trusty top knot. i completed the ensemble by adding in pops of red with an oversized red clutch and a swipe of mac’s “ruby woo” lipstick.
