black & white striped

ever since becoming obsessed with this color-block cardigan from target earlier this season, i’ve found myself gravitating toward similar silhouettes. so when i received an email from loft last week notifying me that their new arrivals were 40% off, i took the bait and went searching for another sweater to add to my collection. amidst my scrolling i happened upon this perfect black and white striped number. since i’m never one to turn down a) stripes or b) a sale, i immediately made it mine (later loft featured it in an instagram post and i have a feeling it’s on its way to selling out soon!).

anyway, i wore this outfit to a casual dinner with S and his family this weekend. i loved how it was a chicer take on a simple t-shirt and jeans. don’t look now but my wardrobe is slowly morphing into a palette of black, white, grey, nude, and gold. and this sweater is definitely one of the reasons why.

Very pretty. The sweater makes a nice statement without being over powering. It’s a great addition to the casual tee and jeans. Your hair, of course, looks gorgeous. The location is lovely. Photographer S has a good eye, and a terrific model.

You always know just what to say to make me smile. We took these in the nearby “town square.” It’s amazing how many great backdrops are literally in our own backyard!

And I agree, S’s photography skills are pretty stellar. But then again, so is he.

      xoxo
