blush crush

being pretty fair-skinned, i usually avoid wearing pastels since they tend to wash me out. but when fossil recently sent me this adorable crossbody bag in the perfect shade of blush, i realized pastel accessories are the perfect loophole to my no light-hue-wearing policy.

with the summer season officially underway (between monday’s summer solstace and 100-degree temps, summer has made it’s presence KNOWN), i’ve naturally begun to gravitate toward a softer color palette full of whites, greys, and natural straw (it’s no secret that i’m obsessed with this hat!). i threw together this breezy look over the weekend as S and i headed out for an afternoon matinee and indian food. the nubuck crossbody (fun fact: nubuck is a cowhide leather that has been rubbed on the outer side to make it appear like suede) was the perfect pop of pink to an otherwise demure outfit. i love the striped detailing on its strap and the touch of gold on its hardware. the metallic accent complimented the gold on my sandals as well as on my newest natalie borton necklace (currently sold out, but she’s releasing similar styles soon!).

I love everything about this look. It is so relaxing and casual but not ‘at home’ casual. It’s a perfect look for carefree-chic. The purse is darling. You hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

Hey Shawna, what size did you get in this tank? I ordered one for post-baby and it looks HUGE (I got a medium). Wondering how the fit it for you.

Hi Linds! I’m wearing a small. It fits slightly oversized, but I prefer it that way. Everlane has a great return policy if you want to exchange it, or you could always run it through the dryer a couple times to get it to shrink 🙂 Good luck! xo
