fossil watch (c/o)

i started wearing a watch in third grade. all the popular girls at my school had shark watches (children of the 80’s -remember those?!) so of course i needed one, too. i went through three different versions by the time i reached middle school. but once i reached high school and got my paws on my very first cell phone, my shark watches eventually became obsolete because a) phones tell time and b) shark watches were no longer “cool” in 2000 (here’s a list of what was cool in 2000 -i’m dying over #6). it wasn’t until a few years ago that i had the inclination to start wearing a watch again -not really for its functionality, but moreso for aesthetic reasons. turns out, watches have gotten really pretty over the past two decades.

most days you can find me sporting this one, a present i received from my parents for my 29th birthday, but recently fossil sent over a more casual version that has me smitten. i love the oversized face (the ol’ eyesight ain’t what it used to be), the fact that it shows all twelve numbers (some watches only list the 12, 3, 6 & 9 and that’s just confusing), and the gold fixtures, of course. plus the leather strap offers enough holes to ensure i get a tight fit around my wrist (most watches aren’t tight enough for my feeble wrists). it’s the perfect watch for everyday wear -whether you’re using it to tell time or not 😉

if you’re in the market for a new timepiece, i’ve linked the exact one i’m wearing below as well as a few others that caught my eye. thanks again to fossil for the love!
