happy halloween! for my costume this year, i decided to go as a fashion blogger with an affinity for big hats, midi skirts, and matching her surroundings. so basically myself.
you may remember this skirt from a #shawnaleeannstyle post on instagram earlier this week. it’s my latest sale snag from madewell and though it was from their summer collection, i’ve quickly learned that with the right styling, it can fast become a fall staple as well.

i love how well the cognac details compliment the blue and white stripes, and how the addition of the (faux) leather jacket added just enough edge to keep it looking too much like “little house on the prairie.” i’m already dreaming up other ways to wear it as we move into the holiday season -perhaps paired with black or even a matching chambray offset by a bold red lip. needless to say it won’t be the last time you see it, i plan on getting my money’s worth out of it -all $37 of it!

The outfit is lovely. The location really compliments the outfit. You and your handsome photographer seem to continually outdo the previous shoot. I think you’ve found your groove. PERFECT photography for showing off your perfect outfit. You look lovely.
