striped sailor pants || date night ready

look two of my three-part styling series is all about elevating these pants for a date night (or ladies’ night!) on the town. for this outfit, i opted for a chic silk blouse in a pale peach color to offset the navy (since orange is opposite blue on the color wheel, they actually pair very well together). to me, silk is one of those indulgent fabrics that’s just kind of innately sexy. for that reason, it’s perfect for a night out with your boo (p.s. this simple silk cami would be equally as chic).

i accented the peach and navy with gold and cognac accessories, including my new peep toe sandals which i have a feeling will become my new go-to shoe. they’re the perfect height, crazy comfortable, and the perforated leather will be great in the heat of summer when it’s too hot to put your foot into a close-toed shoe. though the nights have been quite mild lately, i oftentimes will bring a “just in case” jacket with me in the off-chance the winds pick up and make the environment too cold for bare arms. this mossimo faux leather bomber i picked up at target nearly a decade (!) ago for, get this, $29.99 -has certainly seen me through many a chilly date night.
