an eye on eyelet

as the temperatures start to heat up, easy, breezy clothing becomes a necessity. that’s why this time of year, i start looking for light-weight pieces that will keep me cool in the summer heat. with built-in temperature controls, eyelet is the perfect fabric to sport all season long. plus its daintiness strikes the perfect balance of feminine and tomboy when paired with a pair of denim cut-offs or boyfriend jeans. i’ve rounded up my current favorite eyelet pieces to snag before summer, including this adorable blouse that just went to the top of my wishlist!

I grew up with eyelet, so it brings back fond memories. I think my favorite of your picks is the blouse with the scalloped hem… lovely, dainty and completely feminine. The flare sleeve top is nice, the green shirt dress just pops, the navy open-shoulder swing dress makes quite a statement, the eyelet jacket is a pretty cover-up, and the lace-up espadrilles would make a nice, coordinated accent. Great selection.
