jenni kayne at lido marina village

if there’s something i’ve learned over my years of shopping, it’s that i love a well-designed store. there’s just something about an open layout, well-styled mannequins, color-coordinated shelves, and of course, dreamy lighting that gets me. every. single. time.

this weekend while we were up at the charming lido marina village celebrating father’s day with my dad, step-mom, and siblings (we ate here!), we stopped by the jenni kayne store, where my step-mom works a few days a week. as you know, she has gifted me a few pieces over the past few months (this hat, this dress, these sandals, and this cami, all worn on repeat!) that i’ve quickly fallen in love with, so it was fun to take a peek inside the brick and mortar store.

thanks to the vaulted ceilings, bay windows and the crisp white-painted interior, the store is all shades of dreamy with its abundance of natural light. the unstained wood display pieces also add to the neutral decor and really allow for the gorgeous clothes, shoes, and lifestyle pieces to take center stage. as you can see, jenni’s current collection incorporates pops of cherry red, olive green, and muted blues, in addition to her classic palette of grey, white, black, and oatmeal. these pants immediately caught my eye with their cute button-front detailing. how cute would they be with a simple white tank and straw hat?

in addition to the gorgeous apparel, JK also boats a unique collection of lifestyle pieces -everything from linen napkins for your dining room table to the most adorable beach cruiser (pictured above). though many items are certainly an investment, they are the kind of pieces you’d style in your home forever -not to mention the fact that they add just the right amount of character and whimsy. we have a similar ceramic bell hanging in our kitchen and it’s honestly one of my favorite pieces in our home. it would be the perfect gift for an engaged couple as they build their first space together as husband and wife.

if you have the chance to visit lido marina village in newport beach, california, i highly suggest you stop by the jenni kayne store. you can shop for a new outfit, get inspired for your own home design, and take a selfie in the flattering lighting (just kidding, kind of).

my favorite pieces from jenni kayne’s current summer collection include this tie-sleeve blouse, this white lace topthese ankle-strap stacked heels, and these buckle slides.

Thank you! I wish I had been able to take more photos. But I’ll definitely be back and will share more -maybe even do a Fitting Room Fables post! xo
