this friday, i’m in love with…
jessica biel’s emmy look || ICYMI, the emmy awards were last sunday, honoring outstanding performances on the small screen. as is the case with most awards shows, i was more concerned about the red carpet fashion than the accolades themselves (naturally). of all of the evening’s looks, i was most stunned by jessica biel. from head to toe, she looked effortlessly beautiful.
houseplants || you guys, chateau rivera is slowly morphing into fern gully. well not quite, but we have a new hobby and it’s collecting plants. we’re currently holding steady at six, but there are plans for at least two more in the not-so-distant future. who would have thought that our favorite place to go on the weekends is now our local nursery? aside from the extra oxygen flow in our home, what i’m really loving about our new pastime is the fact that i get to shop for fun pots and baskets in which to house our botanical babies. right now, i have my sights set on these.
madewell x sezane || the popular french brand has once again partnered with one of my favorite stores to bring a chic capsule collection for fall. last year’s sezane collab brought these pants (which no joke i wear once a week), so i was excited to see the fruits of this season’s partnership. the 12-piece mini collection includes blouses, dresses, statement tees, and a gorgeous herringbone coat. my personal favorite pieces include this muted blue ruffled blouse and this romantic lace top.
favorite outfits from the week include: alicia’s gold velvet (looks like this top from tuesday’s post), julia’s floral dress (shot in our honeymoon locale, quebec city!), emily’s pink top & vintage levi’s, kendi’s basics, and kate’s bright blue sweater
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
berets for fall
my favorite striped shirts (because you can never have too many)
my favorite podcasts (if you’re looking for something to listen to on your commute)
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
treasure hunting in little italy
happy hour with my best girls
take-out from here (gluten-free squashed veggie panini, ftw!)
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
happy first official day of fall! with the dip in temperatures recently, i’ve actually been wearing sweaters all week and you know what? i couldn’t be happier about it. may your first weekend of the new season be filled with pumpkin-flavored things and lots of football. see you next week!
