this friday, i’m in love with…
anthropologie candles || we’re big candle lighters at our house. nearly every night S and i like to light a bunch of them in our living room to add a little glow and ambiance. there’s just something so cozy about a candle flickering as you take in the latest episode of real housewives. ANYWAY, over the black friday weekend, anthropologie’s signature volcano candles were 30% off so my mom stocked up on them –they make perfect christmas presents for girlfriends and co-workers! –and with a few leftover, she gifted one to me 🙂 i opted for the spiced cider scent in a gorgeous silver flocked tin and it has filled our home with one of my favorite sweet smells of the season. i guess i had forgotten just how great anthro candles really are and now i’m kicking myself for not stocking up when they were on sale!
blouson sleeves || ever since i bought this striped shirt from loft earlier in the season, i’ve become obsessed with blouson sleeves. i love their subtle femininity and how they soften my broad shoulders 😉 on a recent trip back to the store, i picked up this marled navy and white version (which actually reads as grey when paired with black) to add to my collection. i plan on wearing it with white denim, my new jeans (of course), and even tucked into a midi skirt with boots. a few other blouson options include: this plaid top, this ribbed sweater, and this flare dress.
p.s. i wear an xs in both tops.
peanut butter fudge || on wednesday, cup of jo posted this recipe for peanut butter fudge and i cannot stop thinking about it! the best part (besides the fact that it combines two of my favorite things)? it’s only FOUR ingredients! i’m very tempted to recreate it (probably swapping out the peanut butter for almond butter), but i’m fairly certain these wouldn’t last very long in our house. if you’re looking for a quick recipe to bring to a holiday party, you can’t beat this simple treat!
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
unexpected holiday outfits
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
annual pajama bunco with my mother-in-law + co.
taking barre class with one of my favorite humans
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
we’re full speed ahead towards christmas (t-minus 17 days!) and thankfully S and i officially finished our gift shopping this week (gives herself a high five). i’m looking forward to a quiet friday night with our usual take-out and diners, drive-ins, and dives marathon and S’s family’s annual pajama bunco party tomorrow! enjoy your weekender, everyone and i’ll see you back next week.
