it’s friday, i’m in love || 7/6/18

this friday, i’m in love with…

shaved brussels sprouts salad || S and i are going to a little bbq with some of my barre gals and their families on sunday and we plan on bringing this shaved brussels sprouts salad. while i haven’t yet tried it myself, i am very excited about making my own citrus vinaigrette (and the fact that it has bacon, of course).

summer produce || summer is one of my favorite time for produce -peaches, cherries, melon, corn, asparagus, brussels, tomatoes, the list goes on and on. on a recent trip to sprouts, i noticed that cherries were on sale for $0.97 a pound! cherries are one of those fruits i always forget about but when i have, i’m reminded of how much i really enjoy them. anyway, i’m making it my plan to consume more seasonal fruits and veggies over the next six weeks or so before they’re gone. next up on S and my’s agenda is to fire up the grill and make this recipe. what’s your favorite thing to snack on in the summer?

in my online shopping cart: these mint-colored wide-leg pants & this ruffle sleeve tee

it’s a slow time of year for new arrivals, believe it or not, the fall collections should be launching soon and early access for the nordstrom anniversary sale starts next thursday!

favorite outfits from the week include: julia’s blue patterned maxi skirt (and her photos of spain! it makes me miss it), liz’s patriotic outfit (love her sunnies!)

a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:

what to wear to a backyard bbq

breezy dresses to beat the summer heat

my favorite workout top

three things i’m looking forward to this weekend/next week:

a visit from my bestie and her baby boy

a summer bbq

getting my car detailed (what a luxury)

+gfree/dfree pizza from our favorite spot

and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:

how was your 4th of july holiday? the photo above is S and me at the 4th of july family picnic the club i work for puts on every year. i’m in charge of taking photos of the members and their guests and S is there for moral support and maybe a free ice cream, too. anyway, since i had to work, we didn’t get much of a holiday, but we did have the morning off which i happily took advantage of with a couple great workouts and a strong midday nap. while i’m all discombobulated with my days, it was nice to have some time off midweek and just like that, it’s the weekend again. it’s supposed to be a warm one here in san diego so we’ll be doing our best to stay cool. i hope it’s pleasant wherever you are! enjoy your weekend and i’ll see you back on monday.

xoxo
