making faces

i’m going to make a bold statement that my saturday night was probably better than your saturday night. okay, maybe if you got married or something crazy like that, yours might have been better, but for the average dinner and a movie crowd, i think i had you beat.

because on saturday i had the pure pleasure of spending a handful of hours with my newest main squeeze: my nephew E. his parents were there, too. i mean, i’m great with kids, but ones that have like a few months of life under their belts, not ones that have a few weeks…

anyway, if you haven’t already deduced it from my photos of E and auntie time on instagram, i’m pretty obsessed with him. and i’m not even biased, y’all. he’s perfect. and really really ridiculously good-looking. and his facial expressions? slayyyy me. both of his parents are pretty theatrical (and awesome), so it would make sense that perhaps his eyebrow furrowing and lip puckering would have been inherited from them. but then i asked E’s dad to take some photos of me while holding his son so i could instagram them (obviously. me holding a baby = guaranteed increase in the number of photo likes) and in seeing said photos, i’m thinking that perhaps when it comes to being facially expressive, he may have inherited that gene from me…

surprised.
