thirty days of thankfulness: 11/11/13

sometimes i wish i loved it less. or at least could master that whole concept of “portion control.” but the truth is, even my best attempts at quitting this deliciously nutty spread have proven to be futile. so i’ve simply stopped trying to fight my love for almond butter and have just embraced it instead. i don’t keep a jar in the house (because we all know that it lasts about two days and that’s just not smart, economically speaking) but i do get my weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) fix by visiting the grind-your-own machine at my neighborhood jimbo’s. and this schedule seems to keep me completely satisfied.

so today i’m thankful for almond butter. for how much better it tastes over an apple or banana or straight from the jar. i love that it’s actually pretty good for me with its healthy fats and protein and that when mixed with chocolate or honey, it becomes something truly magical. i am thankful that i can eat it around friends with peanut allergies and that it comes it comes in both creamy and crunchy varieties. mostly i’m just thankful that i live in a world where it is in mass supply and that this company makes some insanely delicious flavors.

So true. Almond butter is yummy and healthy. It’s probably one of the reasons you glow from the inside out!
