TGIF, TGIF! after coming off the high of a fabulous weekend away, it has been rough getting back into the swing of things. that’s why i’m so glad we made it to friday and have another opportunity to live it up again! aside from a little grooming (hair & dentist appointments), this weekend is all about time with the fam, and enjoying the perks of summer living. S and i have a double date with my parents at mister A’s and plan on seeing mission impossible: rogue nation before hitting the driving range to break in my new shoes. i can’t wait.

what are your plans this weekend? whatever you do, i hope you stay cool and hydrated, it’s supposed to be another warm one!

one || gather round, designers. as if i wasn’t already living the reality tv dream (with the return of bachelor in paradise, big brother and the real housewives of orange county & NYC) heidi, tim, swatch, and a whole new crop of talented designers are BACK for season 14 of project runway. while i’m certainly excited to see how these 16 designers will put their talents to the test, i’m more excited to be reunited with tim gunn, one of my absolute favorite humans. and if you don’t believe me, please just watch this clip.

two || denim dress. i have been on the hunt for the perfect denim dress to add to my wardrobe for a few months now. ever since missing the opportunity to scoop up this off-the-shoulder version from anthropologie last spring, i’ve been dead-set on finding a fair alternative to add to my summer-transition-into-fall wardrobe. and then madewell released their latest crop of designs and there she was, the denim dress of my dreams. with still quite a bit of madewell gift cards leftover from christmas and my birthday, i treated myself to this dress last week. i can’t wait to pair it with sandals and flats now and with cowboy boots when the temperatures dip. stay tuned for a style post with it, soon!

three || lovely lavender. while visiting M & M last weekend, i noticed an element of decor that i’d like to emulate in my own home. dried lavender in the bathroom! above the toilet was a vase filled with bluntly-cut lavender stalks. so simple but so chic at the same time. as the bathroom renovation are slowly making progress in the condo and i find myself brainstorming ways to add a personal design touch, i think i might just borrow M & M’s brilliant (and good-smelling!) idea.

p.s. i really want to go explore keys creek lavender farm. it looks amazing!

four || tournament of champions. i’ve made it no secret my love for jeopardy and how S’s mutual affections for “america’s favorite quiz show” made me fall for him all the more. well this week kicked-off the much anticipated tournament of champions and in addition to being reunited with some familiar faces, i can’t help but feel the questions have increased in difficulty on account of the caliber of contestants. which is probably a good thing seeing as the return of bachelor in paradise has probably turned my brain to mush. so thank you, jeopardy for keeping my mind nimble and for allowing me to use the legal knowledge gleaned from legally blonde to answer wednesday night’s final jeopardy clue (habeus corpus).

five || blondespiration. speaking of (legally) blonde, i mentioned above that at long last my overgrown roots are getting some TLC after work today. while i don’t plan on doing anything drastic, simply giving them a good trim and bringing my lackluster highlights back to life, i am always looking for blondespiration. and for that, i usually turn to miss olivia palermo. despite not being a natural blonde, she manages to carry it off with a mixture of high and low lights that compliment her skin tone and her big brown eyes.

six || a return to reading. having jumped on a plane for the first time since the new year this past weekend, i was reminded how much i’ve fallen behind in my reading. i used to always have a book queued up on my nook for my travels or i’d carry it around in my purse, pulling it out whenever i had even an extra five minutes to spare. now i’m disgusted with how many times i refresh instagram just to kill the time. so i’ve made a pact with myself to get back into reading. not only to make better use of my free time, but to hopefully inspire me to push through my writer’s slump. first up on the list? luckiest girl alive by jessica knoll.

and on that note, have a perfect weekend! see you next week.
