i have a thing against turtlenecks. i blame wearing one too many adorned with snowmen and/or candy canes as a child for making me develop said aversion. but when i spotted this mock-neck dress from old navy a couple weeks ago, i tempted fate and decided to give the high-neckline a second chance. i’m glad i did because this dress has proven to be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. with its classic black and white stripe and flattering shape, not to mention the fact that it’s sleeveless, it was ideal for a recent visit to balboa park in the summer heat. to finish off the ensemble, i layered with my favorite denim vest and crossbody bag and added a touch of sparkle with a pair of bedazzled sandals.
