hello my loves! it’s hump day! to celebrate, i fixed you up a hump day treat. today i teamed up with miss carylee of more pieces of me to bring you a little mid-week style inspiration. after last week’s flannel feature, i loved the idea of taking one closet staple and styling it for different occasions. this week’s focus? the classic chambray button-down. if it weren’t for the club’s “no denim” policy (though technically not denim, chambray does unfortunately give off a very “denimish” vibe), i’d probably wear my chambray multiple times per week. much like a white t-shirt, a good leather bag, and almond butter, it pretty much goes with anything. to show off its versatility and how it’s a must-have in any gal’s (or guy’s -S owns TWO -a short-sleeved and long-sleeved version) wardrobe, carylee and i have both styled it for day and for play.

You are too cute! There are so many good things about both of these looks! I never have found a tulle skirt that works for me, so I am quite jealous!! And aren’t those Sam Ed boots just the best!?

your second look is so flirty and fun. And I love the sweater in your first look. The chambray shirt is definitely a go-to item in the closet!

Thanks, Nancy! I call the tulle skirt in my second look my “adult tutu,” I feel so fun and girly whenever I wear it! I just checked out your blog and I love your style! Thanks so much again for stopping by! xoxo
