we’re back. begrudgingly, of course. last week’s mid-week getaway to la quinta was exactly what we needed -mind, body, soul, and relationship. from waking up without an alarm and morning walks around the resort and surrounding neighborhoods, to massages at the spa and an afternoon of reading under the desert sun, we relished in every moment of our time away. more importantly, S and i were able to reconnect without the distraction of the daily grind. with climbing bougainvillea and architecture more reminiscent of greece than california, la quinta resort truly is a little slice of heaven on earth. so i’ll let the (iphone) photos do the talking. here’s 1,000+ words from one perfect weekend:
