i don’t know if you’ve noticed, but banana republic has really stepped up its fashion game lately. i first saw evidence of their sartorial comeback with the debut of their spring collection at NYFW last fall, and after a recent visit to the store, i can attest that the most “grown-up” member of the gap, inc. family has hit their stylish stride. i literally want one of everything!

instead i settled for the striped drop-waist dress (second row, middle and pictured above) and the striped ruffled pullover sweater (bottom row, middle) which i can’t wait to style and feature in upcoming posts.

i’ve rounded up nine of my favorite pieces from the spring collection (in a neutral palette, of course) for your viewing pleasure. oh and if neutrals aren’t quite your jam, the good news is that most items come in a variety of colors including two of this season’s hottest colors -violet and cobalt blue.

heritage lace-trim dress  | striped drop-waist shirtdress | faux leather fit & flare dress

drawstring sweater jacket striped ruffle pullover sweater | allie lace-up flat

p.s. a little shopping wisdom from one bargainista to another. i know we all hate getting spammed by promotional emails three times a day (i get it, williams-sonoma, you have cutlery on sale!), BUT i will say, i managed to score my two items for 40% off + an additional 15% off just by using a promo code i had received in an email that day (it also helps that i’m a banana republic cardholder). bottom line: i got two items for LESS than the price for one regularly priced item. talk about a major score. if you haven’t learned by now, stores like banana republic, gap, and loft are always having a sale. so if you spot something you love, wait a few days to see if the store just happens to run a promo. chances are your patience will pay off. and if not, most stores will do a price adjustment if you bring in the original receipt within one to two weeks after the purchase date.

this has been a PSA. you’re welcome. xo

I totally agree. If I were to manifest myself into a sweater, I think I would look just like this one! xo

Seems the styles are a bit more feminine this season… and the neutral colors add to the whimsy and romance. Lovely.
