today’s post features an outfit i wore out to brunch on sunday with my best gals. we ate at cafe topes in downtown carlsbad and LOVED it! not only is the decor something out of an instagram post, their food is crazy delicious. if you live in north county san diego, i highly recommend it for a meal!

but back to the outfit.

though i have been very much enjoying the warmer temperatures we’ve been experiencing lately, i won’t lie and say i wasn’t excited to learn that rain was headed our way. mostly for the fact that it gave me an excuse to wear my hunter boots again. i paired them with my newest pair of denim, a cozy cardigan, and a v-neck tee. and since it had already begun raining when i left the house, i threw a beanie on over my recently washed locks at the last minute to not only ensure they’d stay dry, but to add a little edge to an otherwise simple outfit. i love how hats can do that!
