as i mentioned in yesterday’s post, S and i are headed to the windy city first thing tomorrow morning. aside from a quick trip to nashville for a wedding last fall, it’s our first real vacation since our pacific northwest adventures in january 2015! needless to say, i’m very excited for five days sans alarms, morning commutes, and any real set agenda. armed with an array of activities and pre-shawna approved restaurants, we are ready to become midwest transplants for the week.
with the weather giving us about a 50/50 split between dry skies and showers, i’m doing my best to be practical about what i pack. that means flowy dresses and short-sleeves can stay home, while my bag gets packed with cozy sweaters and jeans instead. and of course, my hunter rain boots! i decided to stick with a neutral color palette (primarily grey, black, and white) to make planning outfits a breeze.
since i’m paranoid about my luggage being lost in transit, i always aim at fitting everything into a carry-on. sometimes that means playing a game of tetris with my clothes, but i have found that if you roll (instead of fold) everything, it allows for easier packing. want to see how i fit everything? check out the fun video i made on instagram!
here’s what’s coming with me:
natalie borton “sloan” necklace || natalie borton “emerson” necklace
natalie borton “johanna necklace”
all three designs are unavailable, but check out her current designs here!
when breath becomes air (which i can’t wait to read!)
