not to disappoint you, but clearly we’re talking about a different kind of birthday suit today.

with S’s birthday a mere nine days after mine (today, in fact!), we tend to combine our celebrations with family. this weekend, we double-dated with my parents at cucina enoteca for a joint birthday dinner. after dressing up for my actual birthday dinner, i decided to keep it a little more casual this evening -opting for a lace shorts, a lightweight sweater, and my newest pair of espadrilles that i can’t seem to stop wearing! since june gloom is still alive and well, shorts + sweaters are my best attempt at a southern california summer wardrobe. lucky for us, we found a little sunshine in the form of this adorable mural we stumbled upon at a local elementary school on the way to my parents’ house.
