it’s no secret that i love a feminine detail. give me a ruffle and i’m a happy gal. but there’s something about fall dressing that makes me channel a more minimalistic, almost masculine vibe. so when i found this perfect slouchy beanie on one of my recent visits to the madewell store, i knew it would be the perfect piece to launch a bevy of more tomboy-inspired outfits.

though fall weather was nowhere in sight this weekend, i threw caution to the wind and paired my beanie with a simple black on black ensemble. whenever i can’t seem to decide what to wear, i always end up with black. to me, there’s nothing more versatile and chic. to break up the monochrome, i added a chambray around my waist and a pop of white with my newest tassel necklace (similar) from natalie borton.
