i’m not really one for making new year’s resolutions but i do set aside a few moments at the beginning of january to reflect on some personal goals for the year ahead. one such goal for 2017 was to take more day trips on the weekends, or in the very least, to plan more activities that get us out and exploring our city. so with a saturday morning at our disposal (which rarely happens!), S and i took advantage of the gorgeous spring-like weather and set out for a trail walk around a local lagoon.
one of the (many) great things about san diego is how many local trails there are just minutes away from our neighborhood. this particular loop is sandwiched between the batiquitos lagoon and the park aviara golf course so everywhere you look there are stunning views. we followed the trail for about one and a half miles before eventually turning around. when all was said and done we logged three miles in about an hour and a half. not too bad for a sweaty saturday!
