galentine’s day brunch

2 Permalink 5

there are some words that just come synonymous with sundays -church, football (RIP until next season), and of course BRUNCH. as i’ve mentioned before, four of my closest girlfriends and i try to get together for brunch once a month. since we were celebrating one friend’s birthday, she got to pick the location. her choice? solace in encinitas. though i cannot confirm for sure, i think this decision may have been influenced by solace’s famous cinnamon roll ;).

after a week of scattered showers and eerie fog, the weather was gorgeous on sunday. i took this opportunity to bust out my new pair of white denim from j.crew. to get into the valentine’s day spirit early, i decided to pair them with soft blush and grey tones. i also picked up a couple bunches of white hydrangeas from trader joe’s on my grocer run. between the sunshine, pastel colors, and the fresh blooms, it almost felt like spring.

natalie borton necklace (c/o) || madewell flats (similar)

a quick note about these jeans -they fit exactly how everyone said they would -HUGE. i sized down two whole sizes and honestly, i think i could have sized down one more. so if you’re interested in snagging a pair of your own, take that into consideration before you order!

Pretty as a picture! I love that blouse. Your color scheme is soft and lovely… perfect for ‘almost’ spring. You look comfortable and relaxed for a brunch event. Hope you had a great time with your lady friends.

I don’t normally love pastels but it was fun to switch it up for a change. I basically planned my outfit around those hydrangeas, hehe. xo
