nautical peplum

i’m back with these jeans! i couldn’t help myself, the weather was giving me such summer vibes, i wanted to style them again, this time with my striped peplum top for a fun nautical vibe. while you can never go wrong with classic black and white, sometimes it can feel a little heavy, especially in the spring. so instead i love pairing my crisp white clothes with shades of periwinkle, chambray, and navy for a fresher, lighter look.

somewhat related, trader joe’s looks like a local flower shop right now. there are tulips, sunflowers, gerber daisies, and hydrangeas galore! i literally stood over the flower section hemming and hawing as i tried to decide which blooms i wanted to bring home with me. i finally settled on two bunches of these white hydrangeas, which i might add, the lady behind me complimented me on (i think she might have wanted them for herself!). after we shot this look, i placed these beauties in a mason jar and displayed them proudly on our dining room table. i forget how much joy a simple bunch of flowers can be!

Fabulous styling today. The outfit is well balanced but mostly it looks like it would be playful and fun to wear. Your hint of make up is perfect for this look. And the flowers, of course, add romance and whimsy. Great look. Great location. Your sweetie must be your top fan… he captures the essence of you every time.

Thank you! I can’t get enough of navy and white as we move into the warmer weather months. I feel like I should be sitting in an Adirondack chair! xo
