for someone who often finds herself cold, i’m not a huge fan of outerwear. living in san diego, i can kind of get away with it, but there are certain times of the year when a light sweater just doesn’t cut it. so over the years, i’ve collected a few closet staples –a faux leather bomber, a denim jacket, a classic trench. but noticeably missing was an all-purpose light-weight neutral number that could pair just as well with a simple tee as it could with a summer maxi dress.

for this “non-jacket wearing” girl, it has become the perfect layering piece to throw over a chambray button-down, cashmere sweater, or in this case, a sleeveless blouse to not only cut the chill, but to add an extra element of dimension to an otherwise simple outfit. what i love most about this particular style is that it’s slightly cinched at the waist so your shape doesn’t get lose beneath it. i also love the fact that it’s under $50, because you know i love a bargain.

Wow… you paired those pieces perfectly! That’s a great look. Your hair is fabulous. The location adds texture and interest to highlight your boho look. You’ve found your stride. Kudos to the man behind the camera. He ‘gets’ your look.

Thank you so much! As I mentioned, I’m not a jacket kind of gal, but I was happy how this one paired with the sleeveless blouse. Wasn’t this wall such a good find? I literally saw it and immediately pulled over. God bless that husband of mine. xo
