this friday, i’m in love with…

laura mercier lipstick in “french kiss” || before our date to woodranch on saturday, S and i wandered around one of our local outdoor malls. on our way out, we stopped by bloomingdales so i could pick up a new tube of lip gloss and i got sucked into trying on different lipstick shades. after seeing it on julia as well as on mandy moore at the emmys, i was very interested in trying the potently pink lipstick shade, playfully called “french kiss.” albeit brighter than i normally wear, i quickly fell in love with the velvety matte finish. and the of course when the makeup artist went to ring me up, she regretfully informed me that it was sold out, but luckily, laura mercier is sold at a multitude of stores. anyway, if you’re looking for a fun new color to spice up your makeup drawer, french kiss is the perfect flirty pink for fall.

zara jumpsuit with ruffled straps || between my love for jumpsuits and my love for ruffles, this pretty plaid number is calling my name. i’m not sure it’s really all that practical, but it sure would be adorable with a black turtleneck layered underneath, these earrings, and a pair of black pumps!

lady gaga’s joanne album || after watching her netflix documentary gaga: five foot two (which, albeit a tad sad, was very enjoyable), S and i can’t stop listening to gaga’s most recent album. aside from “million reasons,” i feel like most of the songs never really got a lot of air time, so it has been fun discovering some of the new-to-us gems. our favorites include “joanne” (written about her late aunt) and “hey girl” featuring florence welch of florence and the machine.

favorite outfits from the week include: liz’s jumpsuit & long cardigan, julia’s white dress, and jacey’s striped turtleneck

a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:

three sweater styles you should own

my home uniform (i can’t be the only one who puts on pajamas immediately when i arrive home?)

double dose of denim

three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:

a facial (my skin could use some TLC!)

visiting my husband’s family

napping on the couch in between football games

and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:

embracing hoop earrings

crushing on cashmere

a new way to chambray

it’s hard to believe this weekend will mark the halfway point of october. this year continues to fly by at an alarming rate but i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t extremely excited for the holidays. at any rate, i hope you have a great weekend. see you back next week!

xoxo
