this friday, i’m in love with…
lauren conrad’s lace top + overalls || and her new shorter ‘do, too! lauren posted her new cropped haircut along with this adorable top + overalls from her line, paper crown, on instagram this week and i am obsessed. unfortunately the top and overalls are a tad bit out of my price range to make mine, but perhaps i can recreate the look for less (with this top + these overalls?).
textured tie-front top || i spotted this tie-front top on madewell’s website this week and i can’t seem to get it out of my brain. i’m really loving the rust color and its cropped, almost bohemian feel. considering the fact that the store is having a 25% off sale through next tuesday, there’s a high possibility i’ll be snagging it over the weekend (because treat yoself). my only concern is that the v-neck might be a little too deep. perhaps a quick trip to the store to try-it-on in person might be a good idea before i add it to my online cart. other things i’m considering picking up at a discounted price are this cami, this sweater, and this sleep romper.
top chef: denver || i don’t know about you, but we love cooking shows in the rivera household. our favorites include: the great british baking show, a chef’s life, diner’s, drive-ins, and dives, and of course, the king of them all –top chef. the show’s 15th season premiered last thursday and as anticipated, it’s already shaping up to be an exciting season. this year the cheftestants are competing in the mile-high city, known to be having its own sort of culinary renaissance. denver has been on my list of places to visit for a while now and the filler shots in between quick-fire and elimination competitions are only fueling that desire.
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
blouson sleeves two ways
last-minute christmas gifts for anyone on your list
casual holiday party
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
our pizza date (we had to postpone it two weeks ago due to a christmas parade in the same neighborhood!)
a lazy sunday morning (YES)
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
anyone else feel like this week was a slog? i’m ready to shake off the fog of the last five days and enjoy a quiet(er) weekend with my husband. can you believe it’s the last one before the christmas holiday? enjoy it and i’ll see you back next week.
