items on my splurge list

do you have a splurge list? a catalog of items just a tad bit out of your price range but worth saving up for? i do. usually it involves most everything from sezane. but lately i’ve noticed my champagne taste getting the best of me. thankfully for me (and my husband) i haven’t acted upon any of my urges to splurge, but someday i hope to add one or all of these items to my closet. or not. in the very least, a gal can dream:

doen dress || to me, there’s nothing that makes a lady feel prettier than a well-made and figure-flattering dress. you know how i feel about this dress, and i have a feeling a doen design would leave me feeling just as lovely. i’ve admired the brand for years, spotting them on some of my favorite bloggers but have yet to add one to my own closet. though my birthday may not be until june, i have already placed a “doen dress” top on my wish list.

currently coveting: this tie-shoulder dress, this ruffle-front dress & this button-detail dress

jesse kamm pants || while i certainly have a solid collection of high-waisted wide-leg cropped pants, jesse kamm pants are on a whole different level. touted as the creme de la creme of cropped trousers, it’s no surprise that their precision comes with a higher price tag. obviously i love a good dupe and everlane’s version is probably the best affordable alternative, but after reading this review from one of my blog crushes, lee vosburgh, comparing the everlane crop to the jesse kamm pant, i realized that sometimes a bigger attention to detail has its benefits. at any rate, at nearly $400 they are clearly a HUGE splurge, but for how often i wear my cropped trousers now, it wouldn’t be totally out of the question to make the investment.

currently coveting: the kamm pants in light denim, in skin/tone 34 & in bill cunningham blue (named after him! p.s. speaking of bill cunningham, this netflix documentary on him is delightful)

sezane blouse & heels || who doesn’t want to dress like a french girl? the gorgeous french designer makes the dreamiest pieces -particularly feminine blouses and flirty shoes. with their quality craftsmanship and classic design, a sezane piece would stand the test of time in my wardrobe. i can see pairing one of their lace blouses with my favorite jeans and wearing their lace-up shoes with everything from skirts to dresses.

currently coveting: this wrap top, this lace blouse, these flats & these bow heels

frye boots || admittedly i already own a pair of frye boots, but i’ve been dreaming of investing in a second pair for years (i’ve owned my first pair for 12 years after all!). similar to the other items on this list, what sets frye apart from other boot brands is its incredible quality. there’s a reason they’ve been around since 1863! as i mentioned above, i’ve had my pair of boots for over a decade and they still look just as good as when i first pulled them from the box. while boots are traditionally reserved for fall/winter, i find i wear my boots all year round, making the splurge a bit more justifiable. i’m really kicking myself for not snagging a pair of the gal meets glam x frye collaboration last year, so i’m hoping they come back in stock in my size. i’d wear these tucked into skinny jeans or with a denim skirt.

currently coveting: the sabrina glam boot

tell me, what’s on your splurge list?
