button-front wide-leg jeans two ways

0 Permalink 6

no real introductions needed, it should come as no surprise that i love these jeans. the button-front detail, the wide-leg silhouette, the cropped and unfinished hem. it’s like madewell designed them with me in mind. they fit true to size (i’m in the 26) with a generous 10 1/2″ rise (that rhymes!) that cinches your waist in all the right places. to me, they’re the perfect summer jean so today i’m sharing two ways to style them as we head into the new season:

weekend casual

madewell button-front jeans || loft tank (similar)

madewell sandals || urban outfitters hat || natalie borton necklace (c/o)

madewell tote || diff eyewear “becky” sunglasses

to me, there’s nothing more classic than a white tee and jeans. i’d throw this on to run errands on a sunday afternoon -taking full advantage of the straw hat (my latest addition to my ever-growing collection) to hide dirty hair. sundays are also the day i treat myself to a manicure/pedicure (about every six weeks or so). these sandals are perfect for wearing to the salon since they leave your toes exposed ensuring that you don’t smudge a fresh paint job. sometimes i forget to wear the proper footwear and have to wear those foam disposable flip flops out which is always fun (they make me feel like i’m walking in flippers). anyway, these sandals are winners and come in three colors so snag yourself a pair for pedicures and beach trips and everything in between. i finished off the casual ensemble with a natalie borton necklace (new jewelry styles arrived yesterday so be sure to check her website ASAP as things tend to sell out quickly).

date night

madewell button-front jeans || madewell blouse

madewell sandals || natalie borton earrings (c/o) -now available!

zara straw bag

doth your eyes deceive you, this is the exact outfit (minus the shoes) i modeled in last week’s fitting room fables post. i loved it so much i wanted to wear it out for our saturday date night. it was just fancy enough without feeling too fancy for a casual early dinner at one of our local haunts. these block sandals have certainly paid for themselves three times over for how much wear they get during the week as well as on weekends. the 2 1/2″ heel proves to be the perfect height for maneuvering a myriad of surfaces and i love how they dress up these jeans for a night out. i wore my natalie borton gold tassel earrings (now available in her online shop!) to play up the gold tones in the print of this blouse (seriously, run don’t walk to snag it before it’s gone!) and swapped my leather tote for my straw bag. you know the kind of outfits that just give you an extra spring in your step? this was that kind of outfit.
