finding my uniform

as you know, i’ve become quite the fan girl of jenni kayne. her california-inspired design and simple, classic silhouettes are exactly the kind of pieces i want to wear these days -especially as we move into the heat of summer.

jenni kayne recently started a campaign called #findyouruniform, inspiring women to find a style formula that suits them best. for me, as you’re well aware, that usually means a feminine blouse, wide-leg pants, and some sort of flat. but i’ve also found myself gravitating toward easy breezy midi and maxi dresses, pairing them with a simple sandal and of course, a statement accessory.

i was recently gifted this gorgeous silk striped dress from jenni kayne’s summer collection (psst, it also comes in white!) and i couldn’t wait for the perfect opportunity to wear it. as i mentioned in friday’s post, saturday was for getting out in the sunshine and exploring some newish restaurants in our new hood. i slipped on my new frock, slathered myself in sunscreen, threw on my favorite summer sandals and a big hat and we were off. despite it being a fancier fabric, the flowiness of the silhouette kept me easy and breezy in the june heat.

Oh my gosh… lovely. That is such a nice dress. And silk is a wonderful, breathable fabric that drapes so beautifully. You’ve paired it nicely. And I can’t end this message without commenting on your straight tresses. Your hair ‘goes with the flow!’

Thank you so much! I just got a fresh highlight so my stylist blow dried it straight afterward. It’s crazy to see how long it is when it’s not curled! xoxo
