this friday, i’m in love with…

carpool karaoke with sir paul mccartney || i grew up with the beatles music so the latest installment of james corden’s carpool karaoke had me feeling all the feels. hey jude is one of my all-time favorite songs, too. anyway, i implore you to watch this and not get the warm fuzzies and/or cry. i did both.

tiem cycle shoes || before investing in a pair of spin shoes, i wanted to make sure my affections for cycling warranted the purchase (after all, rush lets you rent a pair for $1.00 each visit). but after two months of consistently showing up for my standing weekly date with the bike, i figured it was high time i treat myself to my own pair of shoes. i was able to test drive a pair by tiem, a company revolutionalizing spin shoes with their “form on the top, function on the bottom” philosophy. on the outside, they look like your regular cross trainer tennis shoe, but underneath reveals a small cleat so you can easily clip in for your morning ride. i ordered the white marbled pair and i can’t wait to get them when they arrive in a couple weeks! who knew i’d ever love cardio this much?!

using instastories to connect with all of you! || if you follow me on instagram (i’d love if you did!), you know i’ve been posting videos each morning with a peek into how i get dressed for work. despite the fact that i’m barely functional at 4:30 a.m., i’ve been having a lot of fun connecting to my instagram community and the response has been refreshingly positive. it’s always a little scary/intimidating putting yourself out there in a less-filtered fashion, but i think it’s so important to peel back the curtain sometimes and humanize our social media accounts. anyway, hopefully you’re enjoying the videos as much as i have been making them because i plan on continuing them for the foreseeable future!

in my online shopping cart: this straw purse, this seersucker top & this bandana in the royal blue mini daisy print (also loving this top in the same print)

update on this dress & this top from last week. sadly neither of them were keepers for me. the dress was too big (as you may recall from wednesday’s fitting room fables post) and i didn’t love it enough to reorder it in a smaller size. the top, while cute, was a tad bit short for my liking and just overall a tough fit. i always want to be forthcoming with my honest opinions on things, especially if you’re also eyeing the product. not everything is a winner, you know?! and that just means more money to put toward things i really love.

favorite outfits from the week include: shannon’s patriotic sweatshirt, jen’s palazzo pants, ashley’s seersucker top, kendi’s pink swing top, alicia’s embroidered jean jacket and all of julia’s outfits from their trip to spain

happy last weekend of june! can you believe the 4th of july is next wednesday?! this summer is already flying by and i’m doing my best to eat all the summer fruit (see those cherries above) and spend as much time outside as possible. after an extremely busy week, i’m looking forward to sneaking in a little QT with my husband and possibly a nap or twelve. i’m also very excited to catch up on our DVR since one of our favorite summer guilty pleasures premiered this week —big brother! sending you lots of love and good vibes for a memorable weekend. see you next week!
