while i love myself a frilly dress and tulle skirt, i’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal at my core. however, after years of opting for dressier blouses that could be remixed for work and play, i recently realized that my t-shirt collection was essentially non-existent. thankfully i follow a lot of great blogger accounts on instagram who never cease to provide major casual style inspiration. so when i heard @karlareed and @natalieborton sing the praises of old navy’s luxe crew-neck tee, i immediately logged onto their website to see what all the fuss was about. as luck would have it, old navy was having a major sale and i was able to snag the coveted tee for eight dollars. considering how much i love it, i’m only mad i didn’t buy a few more at that incredible price.
reasons i love this tee:
- it’s insanely soft. no, but really, the rayon jersey material makes this tee feel like buttahhh on your skin.
- it’s long! while old navy does offer tall sizes, i’m happy to report that the regular hem length of this tee is still ample enough to reach past my hip bones which, for someone with a long torso, is a refreshing detail.
- its drapey fit. i personally prefer my tees to be slightly oversized so the drapey fit of this tee is ideal for someone like me. jersey fabrics tend to show every nook and cranny if cut too close to the body so i appreciate how this tee manages to find that happy medium of hanging loosely without being unflattering.
- it comes in a variety of colors! i opted for the olive shade but i’ve already put the white and black versions in my online cart to snag ASAP. if color is more your thing -it also comes in navy and wine (as well as grey). collect them all!
