this friday, i’m in love with…
suunday || after seeing one of their gorgeous linen tops on my girl crush, taylor sterling, i discovered a new-to-me brand this week -suunday (with two “u’s”). created by arizona designer, stacie lang, suunday is a women’s clothing line that features simple, high-quality pieces that are easy to wear and love. after perusing their capsule collection, i fell in love with this stunning peach-colored blouse and placed an order immediately. i envision it paired with high-waisted denim and of course -layered under both pairs of my overalls. i can’t wait for it to arrive!
trader joe’s mango jicama slaw || i’m not sure how exactly i first discovered this yummy slaw, but it has fast become my go-to lunch or dinner option if i’m out and about and can’t get home right away to cook a proper meal. 90% of the time, i don’t even use the dressing (it has a little bit of a kick!), i just eat it plain or with a little everything but the bagel seasoning sprinkled on top (naturally). i’ll pair it with a hard boiled egg or a chicken apple sausage or even a container of another trader joe’s fave –the egg white salad with chives.
kevin hart practices safe sacks || a little sports talk for you since i really do love watching football with the hubs this time of year –kevin hart has been on the media circuit this week in anticipation of his upcoming film night school. on wednesday he appeared on the sports show, get up to perform a skit mocking the NFL’s more stringent parameters for sacking quarterbacks. if you have two minutes and you know anything about football, i think you’ll get a kick out of this clip. at least i did!
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
full disclosure, i’m subbing a lot of studio barre classes next week so there will be fewer opportunities to style non-workout outfits, but i’m hoping to sneak in something fun, so stay tuned and make sure you’re following me on instagram (@shawnaleeann)!
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend/next week:
a much-needed facial
teaching new studio barre choreography
+ the premiere of below deck (because my life revolves around bravo)
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
this week felt equal parts fast and slow. it seemed as though friday took a year to get here, yet when i look back on my week, i swear the events of each day made it pass by in a flash! while i LOVE my new routine and everything that it entails, i will say i’m finding myself much busier than i thought i would be. of course, i’m so happy to have a full schedule filled with things i truly love, i just thought there would be more napping 😉 all that’s to say, i’m very much looking forward to a quiet weekend, studying up on the new studio barre choreography, and enjoying a sushi feast with my one and only. whatever you’re up to this weekend, i hope it’s fun and relaxing! can you believe october 1st is monday?!
see you next week!
