just peachy

while i’ll never tire of madewell, i do love discovering new-to-me brands, especially those with local roots in southern california. after seeing this top from the brand suunday on taylor sterling (the creator of the glitter guide and my personal style icon), i headed straight to their website to further peruse their collection. there i instantly fell in love with all of their pieces, particularly their pastel color palette and seemingly effortless designs.

after going back and forth, i finally settled on ordering the clara blouse in a gorgeous peachy shade. when it arrived just a few days later, it far exceeded original expectations. the fabric was soft, almost sponge-like (in a good way if that makes sense) and airy, but substantial enough to keep warm in cooler temps. the elastic waistline and sleeves created the perfect billowy silhouette and made it ideal for pairing with all of my high-waisted things. if you caught my mini-styling session on saturday (if not, it’s saved under “outfits” in my instagram story highlights), you know that i paired the blouse with high-waisted pants, jeans, and a skirt, as well as under overalls. as i found more and more ways to remix it, my affections for the piece grew tenfold. so much so that i just ordered it in the red pear color, too! it’s not often that i find a brand that i love as much as i love madewell, but suunday, you’re making it pretty difficult not to love every single thing you make.

for an early date night, i paired my top with button-front denim and lots of gold jewelry (including my NEW natalie borton ‘julia’ earrings) for a look that gave me all the 70’s vibes.
