with daylight saving time one week from today and the official start of spring just ten days after that, oh and not to mention the non-stop rain we’ve had, it’s very safe to say that i’ve caught myself a severe case of spring fever.
and the only cure it seems is the promise of fun spring outfits to wear all season long. while my current wardrobe is full of warm(er)-weather options to get me dressed for longer, sunnier days, it’s always fun to add a few new pieces into the mix to transition into summer as well. below are some of my favorite spring trends and the specific pieces i’ve set my sights on:
polka dots || the polka dot trend is nothing new but as a dot-lover, i’m happy to see it back for another season. loft especially has a seriously cute spotted selection, including this smocked blouse that’s top on my wish list.
breezy dresses || the perfect midi dress is always a must-buy no matter the season, but especially in the warmer months when they’re all i want to wear amidst our inland temperatures. i’m currently trying to justify purchasing this one (it kills two birds with one stone with its polka dot print!) but it still may be a tad bit dressy for everyday wear.
fun flats and/or sandals || one way i like to add a bit of personality to my looks is with my footwear. an otherwise simple outfit can be made more interesting with the addition of playful accessories. plus most shoe styles are timeless so they’re the type of wardrobe pieces that i feel safe investing in due to the fact that they’ll last me season after season. i’m currently awaiting the arrival of these metallic beauties, but these madewell dupes might not be too far behind them!
hair scarves/scrunchies || let’s be honest the days i wear my hair up far exceed the days when it’s down and styled in my signature cascading curls. so a feminine bow is the perfect way to spice up my top knot or pony tail. my friend natalie has been sporting this one lately and at just $6.00 it has definitely been added to my online cart!
tell me, what’s on your spring wish list?
