this friday, i’m in love with…

NEW arrivals to rustic rose wood shop || as you may know, my talented husband has an etsy shop filled with his gorgeous hand-made wood designs. his latest additions are live edge serving boards made from walnut. true, i may be biased (#proudwife), but i think they’re stunning. they’d make the perfect hostess or wedding gift!

amazon round rattan bag || much like my leopard midi skirt, after seeing every other style blogger rocking a round rattan crossbody bag this season, i finally treated myself to one, too. the best part is that i found this one on amazon for under $35! p.s. see how i styled it on our trip to la quinta.

glossier’s brow flick || after seeing natalie’s brow tutorial, i ordered glossier’s new brow flick on the spot! these brows can use all the help they can get. fingers crossed it lives up to the hype!

in my online shopping cart: you guys, i can’t stop buying leopard print! as i mentioned in tuesday’s post, i’ve now ventured into other forms of animal print, including snakeskin. i just picked up my snakeskin mules from zara this week and i’m in love (will style them for you very soon!) and am anxiously awaiting for this skirt to arrive at abercrombie so i can pick it up! i also used my birthday discount at anthropologie to snag this cute leopard tee (which is currently on major sale!).

other leopard items i’m coveting include this jacket (a splurge for sure), this cute knit top, this sunglass case & this slip dress.

favorite outfits from the week include: shannon’s all black look, natalie’s striped jumpsuit, liz’s leopard mini dress & crystalin’s sweatshirt (that i ordered for myself, whoopsies!)

a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:

animal print obsessed

+hoping to finally share my collaboration with amari active!

three things i’m looking forward to this weekend/next week:

S & i are doing a date day for indian food

a trip to our local pavers store to peruse options for our outdoor kitchen project

sunday kicks off a week of teaching studio barre classes (i teach every day from 6/23-7/1!) if you’re local, come find me at studio barre encinitas! i will for sure be eating my wheaties (or gluten-free oatmeal) and adding to my madewell fund (because that’s where these paychecks go, obviously), haha!

+ a facial (#selfcare)

and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:

summer ready with bette

5 ways to style a leopard midi skirt

5 ways to style a belt bag for summer

happy first official day of summer! and also, hi, it’s little old me again, back to bring you a mini recap of current life. if you follow me on instagram, you know that S and i recently got back from our birthday getaway to the desert. we had the BEST time, even in the midst of triple-digit temperatures. whenever we log a little vacation time, i always come back with the itch to plan another trip. this time we have our sights set on a fall getaway to sedona, arizona. have you ever been?

in other news, we’re currently in the early stages of starting an outdoor kitchen project. the backyard space has been a labor of love since we moved in a year ago so this next venture would be the next step in creating our ideal al fresco oasis. as i mentioned above, we’re going shopping for pavers this weekend and i’ll be sure to share more as the project progresses. i can’t help but think that this season of waiting for a baby has afforded us the time to continue making our house into our ideal home. from finishing our master bedroom to working on the office to now tackling the backyard, the baby wait has been pretty good for the status of casa de rivera. i have to believe that God’s just making sure our nest is fully ready for the addition of baby R 😉

anyway, as always, thanks for reading. i sincerely appreciate you! have a great weekend and i’ll see you back next week.

xoxo
