my favorite puff sleeve tops

file under things i love: coffee, brussels sprouts, the bravo network, cloudy days, and a good sleeve detail. it’s true, give me a frilled/feminine/exaggerated sleeve and i’m a happy girl.

right now puff sleeves are having a moment. the slightly billowy shape seems to be 2019’s version of 1980’s shoulder pad. personally i love the silhouette a puff sleeve creates and find it to be flirty and feminine -the perfect juxtaposition to a rugged pair of jeans.

loft textured puff sleeve top (small) || madewell slim wide-leg crop jeans (TTS) || madewell belt (small) || madewell woven mules (sized up 1/2 size) || clare v marcelle backpack || natalie borton earrings (c/o)

i don’t shop at loft often, but my mom recently popped into the store and asked me if i wanted a treat. who am i to turn down a gift? i quickly perused the website and spotted this fun textured top in the most gorgeous hunter green (dark caper to be exact). it fits true to size (i probably could have sized down to the XS but i don’t mind the slightly slouchy fit) and it’s nice and thick -more substantial than a regular tee. for that reason, i think it would be dressed up or down -the perfect blouse to take from work to weekend.

i’ve rounded up a few more puff sleeve styles below:
