the best duster cardigan

2 Permalink 6

i feel like i’ve been on the hunt for a good long cardigan forever. it had to be the goldilocks of sweaters -not too heavy but not too light and the perfect length for my longer frame. essentially a cardigan i could throw over most anything (dresses, skirts, jeans, and even shorts in the transitional seasons) and always be the perfect temperature.

on my mom and my most recent shopping trip for a few winter essentials, we stumbled upon this ribbed v-neck cardigan with gorgeous tortoise shell button detailing. as soon as i tried it on, i was sold! it lays perfectly on the body without being too bulky and is the quintessential “third piece” to tie any casual look together. even better still, it was on super sale (it still is! -40% off with code GIFTYOURSELF) so i snagged it in both colors -muslin and black.

anine bing ‘bing ink’ tee (small) || lululemon align 28″ leggings (4) || loft ribbed v-neck cardigan (small) || zara snakeskin mules (similar) || madewell transport tote || natalie borton julia earrings (c/o)

for tonight’s casual outfit for errand-running and an early date night at our favorite gastropub, i layered the cardigan over a graphic tee and black leggings. my snakeskin mules and freshly curled locks finished off the ensemble and left me feeling both comfortable and chic. meet my new uniform, ladies and gentlemen. you’ll find me in some sort of intimation of this outfit from now until april.

It’s darling. You wear it well. Love the color, and I’m sure the black is just as spectacular.

Thank you! You’ll see the black one soon as I’ll be wearing it in La Quinta! xoxo
