target shorts styled four ways

0 Permalink 6

we are having an unseasonably warm spring around these parts (not complaining one bit!) which is making me think it’ll be followed by an equally as toasty summer. thankfully i will no longer be pregnant once the real heat hits, but i know i’ll be reaching for light-weight fabrics and breezy silhouettes as my body adjusts to postpartum life. after seeing these utility shorts on @karlareed last month, i decided to order them for myself in a size up to wear around the house (and on walks through the neighborhood) during the first few weeks of motherhood and beyond. i love their elastic waistband and cuffed hems and the fact that they’re made from lyocell -the perfect fabric for warm weather (they’re also $20!). after styling them with the bump, i’m tempted to treat myself for a second pair since i found them to be extremely versatile!

a speedy styling video will be up on my IGTV channel at noon PDT but in the meantime, you can shop all four looks through the links below or in the liketoknow.it app. which outfit is your favorite?

universal thread mid-rise tie-front utility shorts (sized up to medium) || hatch the longsleeve tee (1) || h&m mules (sized up 1/2 size) || madewell spotted tote (similar)

universal thread mid-rise tie-front utility shorts (sized up to medium) || anthropologie babydoll top (similar) || target universal thread woven mules (TTS) || brixton ‘joanna’ hat (small)

universal thread mid-rise tie-front utility shorts (sized up to medium) || urban outfitters oversized sweater (similar here & here) || soludos striped espadrilles (TTS)

universal thread mid-rise tie-front utility shorts (sized up to medium) || old navy luxe crew-neck tee (small) || madewell oversized denim jacket (small) || everlane 40-hour flats (sized up 1/2 size) (c/o)

p.s. i’m wearing the clare 3-in-1 earrings from natalie borton (c/o) in all four looks.

i get a small commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post. thank you for supporting the brands that keep this blog up and running.
