to me, personal style is always evolving. if it didn’t, we wouldn’t occasionally look back on things we wore five, ten, fifteen years ago and cringe, right? i mean, we’re ever evolving as humans so it would make sense that our personal styling preferences would follow suit.
if i were to compare today’s style to that of even a year ago, i would conclude that i’ve added a bit more edge to my typically feminine style. whether its a leather bootie or a graphic tee, i find myself gravitating toward a mix of both masculine and feminine pieces. this weekend’s date night look was the perfect example of that. i decided to pair my anine bing tee with my high-slit snakeskin midi skirt for an unexpected combination of high and low. to add a bit of sparkle, i added in my gold harper mules and finished off the look with my bicone hoops (they’ve fast become my favorite natalie borton earring of late!) and a caramel-colored bag. i sported this ensemble to a double date night with S and my parents. we try to schedule a saturday dinner once a month and it is always a highlight!
