sweater weather with darling

repeat after me: life’s better in a sweater.

except maybe when it’s still 80 degrees.

i was so kindly gifted the spruce sweater from darling society’s fall collection which just launched september 1st. while the temperatures aren’t quite sweater weather yet, i know this cozy knit will get plenty of wear in the early months of the year (when san diego “winter” finally arrives). in the meantime, i’ll use this look as inspiration for future outfits as a classic black pullover is a staple in any wardrobe.

the spruce sweater (wearing an xs -use SHAWNAR15 for 15% off your order) || citizens of humanity horseshoe jeans in cinder (24) (affordable option here) || loeffler randall ballet flats (TTS) || anthropologie rose pin (similar) || madewell transport crossbody bag || tiny superhero (priceless)

as someone who is wool-averse, i’m happy to report this sweater is a composed primarily of cotton and acrylic, with a hint of spandex for a stretchy fit. the result is a cashmere-like texture, buttery soft on your skin. the fit is slightly cropped but not too cropped (keeping in mind i have a long torso) and fits true to size. i went with an extra small and it fits perfectly, however if you want a little more of an effortless look, i would suggest sizing up one for a more generous fit. you can use the code SHAWNAR15 for 15% off your purchase!

*a big thank you to darling society for gifting me such a classic piece that will live happily in my wardrobe for years to come.

i get a small commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post. thank you for supporting the brands that keep this blog up and running.
