building my postpartum wardrobe has been a labor of love. i have spent the past few months purging and purging and purging some more (donating and consigning said purged items) in anticipation of refilling my closet with pieces that not only make me feel my very best, but equally as important -fit my current lifestyle (aka #twinmom).
i stumbled upon this pair of slouchy boyfriend chinos while perusing j.crew’s website and was immediately drawn to their light-weight cotton material (hello machine washable!) and effortless vibe. i could envision wearing them with tanks and sandals in the summer, and with knits and booties come fall. i ordered the classic khaki color in my normal size and when they arrived, albethey a tad bit big (which i actually don’t mind), they exceeded original expectations. they’re a great alternative to denim and will no doubt become a staple in my wardrobe.
they retail for $89.50, but i managed to snag them at 50% off during one of j.crew’s (almost) daily sales. word to the wise -sign up for j.crew’s emails so you never miss an opportunity to snag new digs for a discount! because if there’s anything that mama loves more than a clothing item being machine wash-friendly, it’s a good deal.
