i am beyond thrilled to share today’s post. after admiring her designs for years, i can’t believe i’m actually wearing a sonnet james dress!
the sweet team at sonnet james gifted me two of their signature ‘reese’ dresses soon after we found out i was pregnant and i’ve been anxiously waiting to wear one to showcase the bump. i figured christmas eve was the perfect time to style the white striped version (i also own the leopard style which i plan on featuring on the blog in a future post). i added a pair of black opaque tights and a matching bow headband to add a festive feel as well as my leopard mary janes for a little punch of personality. it was the perfect outfit to kick-off this year’s extra special holiday celebrations.

what i love most about sonnet james dresses -besides their adorable and versatile designs -is the fact that they are meant to celebrate motherhood at every stage. made by hand in the USA, these dresses are machine washable and perfect for the on-the-go momma (or momma-to-be) who wants to be able to play with her children and feel beautiful (and stylish) while doing it! the fabric of the reese specifically is nice and thick with plenty of stretch making it perfect for my expanding belly and great for post-partum as well.
if you didn’t know, the creator, whitney, a single mom of two boys, recently appeared on shark tank and confirmed a deal with spanx founder, sara blakely. as a team member of a mother-owned small business myself (natalie borton designs), i love supporting another mompreneuer in her aspirations. perhaps the company’s motto sums it all up best —“young at heart, present in the moment and more playful with the ones you love.”
thank you again to sonnet james for gifting me this dress. all opinions are my own.
