the further i get into this pregnancy, the more comfort becomes a top priority. if it doesn’t feel good on my body, most likely this momma isn’t going to wear it.
as part of our christmas present this year, natalie gifted team natalie borton a pair of birdies flats. i opted for the taupe leather since a nude-colored shoe is a great way to elongate your legs (and this momma needs all the help she can get these days). i had seen many an instagram style influencer sing the praises of the popular brand but it wasn’t until i tried them on for myself that i became a true believer. i’ve worn a lot of flats over the years and i can whole-heartedly say that these starling loafers are some of the most comfortable shoes i’ve ever worn. they have so much cushion and arch support -again two things these pregnant feet are craving these days. they took a day or so to break in, but the buttery leather has since formed to my feet and i know they’ll be a shoe i reach for again and again as this bump continues to grow.
urban outfitters victoria oversized v-neck sweater (small) || spanx mama faux leather leggings (sized up one size) || birdies starling loafers (TTS) || jenni kayne pony hair cheetah envelope clutch (similar) || janessa leone hat (similar here & here) || natalie borton tassel earrings (c/o)
i remember when i bought this sweater i had just found out i was pregnant (literally at 4.5 weeks). i thought it would be the perfect oversized knit to camouflage my bump before we announced our pregnancy. fast forward 11+ weeks and there’s no hiding these babies now. i can’t believe how quickly my body is changing and how much more i’m filling out some of my maternity pieces. albeit strange at times to see yourself in a brand new way, it is truly a beautiful thing. what a privilege it is to experience this sweet season of life.
