i’m no stranger to a good monochromatic outfit, but i had yet to translate that into my maternity style. so for our recent wedding anniversary dinner, i decided to pair two unexpected items to create a groutfit (grey + outfit) of sorts. i bought this skirt when i was about 5-6 weeks pregnant with the intention of being able to wear it throughout pregnancy (to showcase the bump) as well as postpartum. while i love a good flowy top or dress to cover the bump, i also love the idea of wearing a mix of bodycon pieces to put the it on display. this skirt has plenty of stretch to be pulled up and over my growing body and the slit still makes me feel a bit sassy even on the days i don’t feel 100% (growing two humans is no small task!). p.s. abercrombie just came out with a longer style, too!
to offset the slim silhouette on the bottom, i decided to pair the skirt with my flowy hatch maternity tee, making a french tuck into the waistband to maintain some shape. the greys matched almost perfectly, creating the illusion of one solid piece.
abercrombie knit midi skirt (small) || hatch the longsleeve tee (1) || madewell woven mules (sized up 1/2 size) || anthropologie clutch (sold out) || natalie borton sydney bicone earrings (c/o)
