whenever i wear this outfit (or some form of it), i always think of that quote from the movie mean girls –“i’m not a regular mom, i’m a cool mom.” there’s just something about a band tee and faux leather that makes me feel like i’m way hipper than i know myself to be.

to be honest, after a week of being housebound with a terrible respiratory virus, i needed all the cool vibes i could get for my first outing into the real world. i threw this outfit together for a quick trip to target, home depot, and to grab some lunch on sunday and i don’t know if it was the fresh air, the fact that it was my first time out of pajamas in days, or a combination of the two, but i felt like a whole new woman.
