on june 4th, 1985 at 9:17 a.m. at mission viejo hospital, i made my tiny little entrance into the world (i was barely six pounds).

…making today my twenty-ninth birthday.

i’ve taken today, tomorrow, and friday off from work to fully embrace what i like to refer to as “shawnuary” -the day of (and in this case, days surrounding) my official birth anniversary. but i’ve planned a few posts so you don’t miss me too much while i’m away.

i’m so excited to ring in another year with the company of beloved friends and family, as well as get my hands on some really decadent birthday cake (i’ve heard science has proven birthday calories don’t count). i’ll have a full five-day recap for you next week, but feel free to follow along with this year’s shawnuary shenanigans via my personal instagram –@shawnaleeann.
