personally, black jeans have always evoked a bit of rebellion. which is probably why it has taken me so long to own a pair. to offset their edginess, i coupled my new pair of black denim with a frilly-sleeved polka dot top and bow-adorned fedora for our last day in santa barbara. it ended up being so toasty that i changed into a pair of white denim cut-off shorts right after these photos were taken, but the outfit was one of my favorites while it lasted.
